Step 1: Understand the Goal

We’re going to collect contact information from ActiveCampaign using special “access keys” called the API URL and API Key. These keys allow us to interact with the system.

Step 2: Log into ActiveCampaign

1. Open your web browser (like Google Chrome or Safari).
2. In the address bar, type the website address for ActiveCampaign and log into your account.

Step 3: Access the Settings

1. Once logged in, look at the right-hand side panel of the page.
2. Click on the “Settings” option.
3. From the menu that appears, select “Developer.”

Step 4: Get the API Keys

1. In the “Developer” section, you’ll find two important items:

• API URL: This is the address used to access your data.
• API Key: This is a secret key that confirms your permission to access this data.

2. Right-click on each item and select “Copy.”

Step 5: Use the API Keys

1. Paste the copied API URL and API Key into the program or service that will collect contacts from ActiveCampaign.
2. This will allow the tool to access your data.

Step 6: Keep Your Keys Safe

1. Store these keys securely and do not share them with others, as they grant access to important information.
